I made this dress for my new great-niece. It's probably hard to see the pattern but there is a picot edging along the bottom, neck and armhole openings. It was all worked in a cotton blend. The bottom of the dress has a tulip pattern and the body of the dress is eyelet. It was fairly easy except I had a problem about 2 inches from the top. There was a row of eyelet that was completely off from the rest of the pattern! I don't know what happened-I followed the pattern, but I had the problem on the front and back. Of course, I noticed it 4 days before I needed it for the shower on April 15th. I only frogged the front panel but I still worked down to the wire. I was up until 1:15 a.m. Saturday night, then got back up at 6 a.m. to finish. I had bought 2 sun dresses-as backup!-and wrapped everything, made up a gift basket, bows, got dressed and was ready to leave for the shower at 11:15 Sunday morning. I work well under pressure!

I joined a scrap sock KAL and made these from 4 different yarns. They are all superwash wools. I think the pattern worked out pretty good even though I wasn't too sure I was going to like them when I first picked out

my yarn. Since I have knit about 36+ pairs over the past 2 years, I do have a lot of orphan yarn to use up so I'll pobabkly makje a few more pair.

Well, it appears I have been just a bit lax in posting to my blog! It's not for a lack of having projects to talk about. I have been working on several projects in between creating felted bags and knitting socks. I have also found some interesting patterns for dish cloths and have been working on those in my 'spare' time.
Three projects I hope to finish soon are a crewneck sweater for my great nephew who is 3, a white eyelet sundress for his newly adopted little sister and a felted houndstooth purse for their mom. The sweater is closest to completion so as soon as I weave in those final loose tails, I'll be taking some pictures to post.
Time has passed so quickly....it just seems like yesterday I was asking myself 'now what are the perfect Christmas gifts to make for everyone on my list?' I opted for felted bags for 5 on my list and made socks for a few others. The rest received (cringe) store bought gifts! Well, I had to support the other merchants in my town, not just my LYS.
I think I need to line up a new spring/summer project. Maybe I can make a deal with myself -I can't start the new project until I complete the 3 that have been staring me in the face!

I have discovered I love felting! I previously made a gray tote with some long black eyelash in the banding but didn't produce any more felted projects until now. I had been on a sock-making frenzy-making about a dozen pair in the past several months.
I have recently completed 2 pair of slippers, a large navy blue tote, one bowl, 2 clutch bags with knit-in handles, a red felted clutch for my secret pal, a diamond shaped bag with knit fringe and numerous small bags with button closures or drawstrings. Here are a few pictures:

One Skein Knit-Along (& Crochet too) I received a beautiful skein of verigated green Bamboo from my SP. I have no idea yet what I will make from it. For now, I just have it on my desk so I can look at it and touch it! I even took it to work to show all my knitting friends ( I think they might have been a little envious). This is so much fun-sharing with so many others that have the same interests. Reading everyone's posts is like going to a knitting guild every day but saving on the gas!
